Update and look at this lol

So sorry for neglecting my Sasha duties this week , being away from my PC I have not had a chance to reply to emails etc but will be up bright and early tomorrow morning and ready to get some work done . An update will be coming very soon packages have arrived already ;o)

Candy and Riley are doing really well , Riley is a good baby so far lol , I will be adding some more pics of him soon but managed to take this one with my phone not that great but his eyes were open ;o)
Now this one I think is fab , it is the proof of one taken at the hospital .

I wanted to show you my brothers Coca cola can collection , he sent me these pics this week, he has been collecting for years and has 998 cans and counting . Every time a special edition can comes out he tries his best to obtain one and when people go on holiday he always asks for one to be brought home lol . I think his collection looks great just thought you might like to see , Would be much better if they were all dolls however lol .

  3. I like Riley better than the coke cans...Will your brother be celebrating when he gets to 1000? I'm going to Texas in March, if that's any help.

All the best to you and your family

  6. Super photos of new baby Riley. Love the pose of the official portrait one. Hadn't realised that these were done. A vast difference from my days of giving birth.

I just love to see other's collections. I always encouraged the pupils when they came up into junior school my class to collect items... if they hadn't already got a collection. They ranged from the usual pencils, rubbers, rulers, stone medicinal bottles, to soaps, coins, scent bottles, hankies, fans and soft toy elephants.... that I can still remember. They often bought then into school and gave a talk on why, how they started, how they continued collecting and how they were displayed.

I have a huge collection of hundres of leather book marks and used to display them on pinboards all around the walls in my old houses but here there isn't the available room so they are now in boxes.

This display of Coca Cola tins is truly magnificent. Is each one completely different or are there some doubles for future trading?
Glad that I haven't got to dust them!
Unfortunately I don't go anywhere special these days so can't offer to bring an ususal one back.
How are they catalogued? Date, country of origin, size, rarity or cost? Are most empty then on account of the weight nestling on those shelves?

Sasha love from Kendal...who likes to see or learn something new every day if she can.

    1. i am informed that there is only one of each can on display of course extras are sometimes kept elsewhere to trade . I believe that they are catalogued by countries . I know when he buys them himself he makes a tiny hole in the bottom and drains the can so the opener is intact which makes them more collectable but I think just owning a waif can lol is enough ;o)

There must be a large collectors base as last year there were five limited edition Coca cola bottle sold only at the Olympic village, people were going crazy for them and they sold on Ebay for over £500 crazy !!! you could get a really nice Sasha for that lol

I always wanted to collect glass paperweights but never did I have one on my desk thats enough lol.

      love Shelly xxx

  7. Thanks for that infomation (especially about draining the liquid through a hole in the bottom and not using the actual opener. Will pass on this detail) as I'm trying if possible to get a can bought over from Argentinia and one from Belguim later this year.

Oh what a shame to only just hear of your dream of wanting to collect glass paperweights as it must have been only about two years ago that I sold on my sixteen glass paperweight collection (which I had personally gone over to choose from the actual Isle of Wight Company when on holiday in Dorset or buy from their stand at the Birmingham NEC Fair) as there wasn't enough room to display them since the arrival of the 'far too many'' Sasha Dolls.

    Sasha love from Kendal.
